The Paramount has become one of the top live entertainment venues worldwide. Located in Huntington, Long Island, New York, The Paramount hosts a variety of concerts, comedy, boxing and other special events.

The goal for this project was to redesign as well as make their website fully responsive. The look and feel of the existing site was out-of-date and lacked the style for which the Paramount NY is famous for. In addition, we were challenged to organize the content so that users could quickly find and purchase tickets to the venue.

Use social media is critical to get the word out on upcoming acts and shows, cancellations or on-demand news about headliners coming to the area.

NST Web Solutions worked closely with our client to gain insight into their design preferences and their administrative requirements. With this knowledge, our team was able to create a custom solution which has allowed The Paramount to grow their web presence.

Choosing the right solution requires a deep understanding of the client’s needs and wants.

• Multiple page templates for displaying content innovatively.

• Conditional form development for gathering marketing data.

Our web development process began with our design team. We created a layouts which best organized the content as per our client’s objectives. We provided helpful suggestions to further enhance the navigation and overall structure of content.

Our design solution used a combination of the existing color palette and introduced other harmonious colors to complete the branding. We were careful to ensure the design worked well with the Paramount logo.

For this project, we designed custom templates for the home page and show detail pages.
In addition custom post types templates were created to display shows for month and calendar views.

As our design team worked on creating these templates, our programmers began working on the plans to bring the designs to life. Extensive custom API’s were developed to integrate with TickeMaster which allowed user to purchase tickets from the Paramount NY website. The Show details page provided additional functional requirements based on show status, headliner content, and special guest.

For our client, a custom WordPress solution was selected for ease of use, flexibility, extensive library of add-on functionality and quick learning curve.

Our team “converted” the designs and installed all required functionality. The remaining supporting features were added and tested to ensure our clients new website would perform above expectations.

After launch, we hosted a 2 hour WordPress training session geared at demonstrating the unique features of the website and how to manage the content within the WordPress admin. Providing a visual training session is one of the many benefits we provide to our clients post-deployment.

Lastly, our clients can rest easy knowing the website is secure and maintained – we provide WordPress Core updates to keep their environment secure, plugin updates and technical support as needed to keep things running smoothly and minimize service disruptions.
