Summary

Synergy Worx USA, Automotive Detailing Product company based in New York wanted to create an e-commerce website to market their top of the line auto detailing products.

The nature of this project included an accelerated time line, many custom features, heavy social media integration and intuitive navigation.

Retail and wholesale capabilities and full integration with supporting business processes, such as shipping, accounting and product inventory management.

The Challenge

Designing a high end e-commerce website is the goal. The largest challenge was an accelerated time frame which required the website to allow orders for the auto-show in NYC.

The project had many requirements beyond the customary retail shopping cart solutions that are readily available. We had to create a flexible solution to allow for additional functionality as the company and customer need evolve.

Wholesale and affiliate management, social media integration and intuitive navigation are just a few features we were tasked with including in the end product.

The Solution

We held a number of interviews to determine a scope of work that provided the solutions to our clients project.

Our platform of choice would be WordPress with WooCommerce as the shopping cart. Both work extremely well together and in the case of WooCommerce has a ever-growing list of extensions for any possible functionality you website may need.

The design concepts were the 1st phase of the project. We created numerous concepts with varying navigational styles and ultimately created the one that can be seen on their website SynergyWorxUSA.net opens in a new window

Large imagery was used to provide a modern look as well as providing details of products and the results of using their line of custom auto-detailing products.

Multiple woocommerce extensions were used to integrate ShipStation, USPS tracking, QuickBooks and multiple payement gateways.

Affiliate and wholesale extensions were configured to allow the company to create a virtual sales force and grow nation-wide.

Designing for User Experience

NST Web Solutions carefully considers form and function when creating a custom solution for our clients.

Developing an effect User Experience is no simple task. A deep understanding of the clients business and goals for presenting their services or content, is critical. This is always our first step in developing a UX/UI plan.

Understanding SYNERGY WORX target audience was key to building an effective user experience.
With many hours of discussion and internal research, we developed a plan to best serve our client’s needs.

Building an out-of-the-box solution sometimes is not the best option and in some cases, UX/UI needs to adapt to what the customers want. We had to change coursed along the design/development phase based on feedback and ultimately created the interface that you see today.
