Help America Hear
Responsive Web Design
The Foundation for Sight and Sound, a non-profit aimed at helping those with hearing and vision challenges required a redesign to market their core program, Help America Hear.
The goal is to provide visitors with an easy to use, informative and functional resource for support programs, fundraising events and source related materials.
In addition to providing a modern website that is fully responsive, the client wanted to re-brand their website as HelpAmericaHear.org
NST Web Solutions worked closely with our client to gain insight into their design preferences and their administrative requirements. With this knowledge, our team was able to create a custom solution which allowed the Help America Hear team to manage their website with ease.
Choosing the right solution requires a deep understanding of the client’s needs and wants.
• Help America Hear required an easy to manage CMS solution with a custom event management interface for their fundraising events.
• Management and integration of the Help America Hear application & submission process.
• Integrate with Google Ads for the purpose of promoting the website content aimed at;
High school scholarships for the hearing challenged
Annual charity golf outing and past fundraising event.
• Payment processing for donation and event sponsorship were also a must-have feature.
• The website design had to maintain a level of recognition but also re-brand the website for the Help America Hear program.
Our web development process began with our design team. We created a layout which best organized the content as per our client’s objectives. We provided helpful suggestions to further enhance the navigation and overall structure of content.
Our design solution used the existing color palette from the Foundation for Sight and Sound website, which worked well with the new logo for the Help America Hear program.
For this project, we designed custom templates for the home page and a single sub-page, which is used for all page content.
As our design team worked on creating these templates, our developers began working on the plans to bring the designs to life.
For our client, a custom WordPress solution was selected for ease of use, flexibility, extensive library of add-on functionality and quick learning curve.
Our team “converted” the designs and installed the Event Management solution we selected for our client. All supporting features were added and tested to ensure our clients new website would perform above expectations.
After all deployments, we conduct a 2 hour WordPress training session geared at demonstrating the unique features of the website and how to manage them within the WordPress admin. Providing a visual training session is one of the many benefits we provide to all our clients post-deployment.
Lastly, our clients can rest easy knowing the website is secure and maintained – we provide WordPress Core updates to keep their environment secure, plugin updates and technical support as needed to keep things running smoothly and minimize service disruptions.

Developing an effect User Experience is no simple task. A deep understanding of the clients business and goals for presenting their services or content is critical and the first step in our UX/UI plan.
Knowing the Help America Hear program is to be at the forefront of the re-branding effort we considered how the end user would access this information in the easiest way possible.
From there, we created our design to guide the user to where the gold content resides!
